Patchouli Yuzu With A Twist

On Sunday we made our seImagecond batch of Patchouli Yuzu, but this time with a twist–a literal twist! We used a technique we found here to make a two-color swirl in a tube.  This may or may not be exciting to you, but it certainly was to us, as we’d just been trying to work out how we might accomplish this when we saw Soaping 101’s Spa Bars technique video.  We’re happy with our first attempt at this simultaneous side-by-side pour and the soap smells luscious!  I’ve not been a real patchouli fan, so I added some citrusy Yuzu to the blend and that made all the difference for me.  Yuzu lightens the Patchouli substantially, rendering a warm and heady spiciness to this River Bar.  We’ll let it rest for a month now, and then we’ll roll it out amongst our growing family of soaps and lotion bars!

  1. Well that sounds like another one to try! A great blend of heady patchouli with a citrus to round it out….Nice.
